Ceftriaxone sodium for injection 1.0g is white to yellowish crystalline powder. It is a semisynthetic cephalosporin antibiotic.

Ceftriaxone (as Sodium) USP…….1g
Packaging/Availability:
Box of 1- Soda lime glass vial with halogenated rubber stopper and aluminum -plastic flip-off seal + USP Type I Glass Ampoule x 10mL Water for Injection (Diluent)
Indications:
Treatment of severe infections (i.e. sepsis; meningitis) due to susceptible bacteria; treatment of penicillin resistant Neisseria gonorrhea-infection; treatment of multi-drug resistant Salmonella typhi.
Dosage and Administration
Usual dose for intramuscular injection or intravenous infusion.
Adults : 0.5 ~ 1 g every 12 ~ 24 hours depending on the type and severity of the infection; maximum dose : 4 g/day
Children : 20 ~ 80 mg/kg/day.
Uncomplicated gonorrhea : Intramuscular injection, <45kg: 125mg as a single dose; 〉45kg: 250 mg as a single dose.
